CHINESE MEDICINE

BASIC PRINCIPLES

Chinese medicine appeared several thousand years ago and is based on the concept of yin and yang that must balance each other, on the concept of QI (vital energy) that must flow seamlessly into the body and on the concept of the 5 elements that connects man with the universe.

Chinese medicine includes several healing methods:

  • pharmacopoeia,
  • acupuncture and moxibustion,
  • nutrition,
  • massage
  • Qi Gong

The most important thing to understand with regard to reasoning for Chinese medicine is that nothing exists in isolation, there is an ongoing relationship between external environment, organs, emotions, diet, etc.

This is why an inappropriate diet or negative emotions may eventually create pain or disease.

ACUPUNCTURE

PRINCIPLES

AREAS OF ACTIVITY ACUPUNCTURE PARIS

Through the meridians that are energy routes connecting the organs and the viscus, the acupuncturist regulates the flows and energy exchanges in the body to restore its balance. For Chinese medicine, that balance defines good health and acupuncture aims to maintain this balance.

Acupuncture focuses on functional disorders, (which is, in Chinese medicine, the energy imbalance), i.e. before the organ itself is injured. If the body is injured, then acupuncture will act to reduce and relieve the symptoms.

THERAPEUTIC EFFICIENCY

Unlike the Western approach which often offers a standard response to a symptom, with Chinese medicine, each symptom will be examined and placed in the environmental context of the patient. To perform the energy balance before the diagnosis, everything is taken into account, pulse, examination of the tongue, emotional state, diet, age, gender, family history, climate, etc.

In practice this means that the selection of treatment for the same symptom will be different for each person. In acupuncture, the effectiveness of treatment relies entirely on the quality of diagnosis. All thanks to the sharpness and accuracy of the energy balance. This is probably why acupuncture can be so efficient.

Nowadays, acupuncture values are acknowledged all around the world. More and more Westerners turn themselves to this therapy that has a global comprehension of the body and the mind and, while relieving the symptoms, tries to understand and to treat what caused them.

CHINESE MEDICINE AND PREVENTION

This is a major aspect of Chinese medicine. In fact, to stay healthy, the Qi (vital energy) must flow harmoniously through the body to ensure that our immune system is working. For modern societies where everything goes fast and physical and mental balance of individuals are neglected for the sake of productivity, maintaining this harmony and balance is a true challenge. Acupuncture is a very effective way to achieve this.

ACUPUNCTURE AND WESTERN MEDICINE

Obviously, there is no question of rejecting Western medicine to enjoy the benefits of acupuncture. Although we all wish to treat ourselves in the most "natural" way, some diseases still require medical treatment and/or surgery. In such cases, acupuncture will bear a supporting role.

THE PLACE OF THE ACUPUNCTURIST

Its diagnosis has to be relevant for the proper treatment to be applied. Plus, he will have to provide guidance on diet if it appears the latter is unsuitable as well as lifestyle so that patients can act on their health. A good acupuncturist is one who knows his limits. He always has the interest of the patient in mind. He must be able to refer the patient to another doctor or therapist if he thinks that acupuncture alone will be insufficient to cure or relieve the pathology.

WHEN SHOULD YOU COME FOR A TREATMENT AND HOW MANY SESSIONS DO OU NEED?

Any energy imbalance can be treated at any time of the year. In most cases, 2 or 3 sessions are enough to significantly improve the symptoms. However, if you clearly understand the range of action of acupuncture, you will be interested in its preventive aspect. Therefore, you will perhaps need to schedule of further regular sessions in order to prevent the recurrence of any problems or to minimize their manifestation.

PROCEEDINGS OF A SESSION

The first consultation will last longer, around an hour, because the energy balance is a long process. The session in itself lasts 30 minutes and is extremely relaxing.

Based on the reason for the consultation, the relief will come immediately or during the following days. The patient can feel very tired after a session. It is then a good idea to schedule a spare and quiet moment after the session. However, if you cannot take this time, you should know that it does not compromise the effectiveness of treatment.

You will feel no pain. The "sting feeling" lasts a split second and vanishes as the needles, inserted superficially, are extremely thin. The needles are obviously designed for a single use.

SESSIONS

FACE-LIFT BY ACUPUNCTURE

1

THE EFFECTS OF FACE-LIFT BY ACUPUNCTURE

The face-lift by acupuncture revitalises the muscular energy and restores the elasticity of the skin allowing it to recover a smoother and firmer appearance.

2
FOR WHOM?

This technique is aimed at both men and women, and can be performed at any age.

3
HOW?

The treatment is carried with small the needles made of gold and perfectly sterile. They are designed for a single use. The session lasts about twenty minutes.

4

ITS PREVENTIVE ASPECT

By helping the body to maintain a "right" energy flow, it delays the ageing of the skin.

Progressively, the skin “awakens”, becomes more tonic, recovers easily as its withstand ability to stress and external aggressions improves itself. And so the general appearance of the face improves itself as the complexion becomes clearer.

5
THE BENEFITS

In respect with the ancient principles of acupuncture, the face-lift by acupuncture offers a soft method to fight against the ageing of the skin.
